Why mountaineers climb

It's when sometimes you want to pause life because things are getting way out of hand. When all you ever want to do is sleep or be somewhere where heaven feels closer and that it'll only take you minutes to get there. There in the mountains, where life is made plainer, where the self is being rid off of the use to be's,  where the stars along with all the heavenly bodies are your only entertainment, where meaningful conversations occur. This is where you'll find me, my heaven on Earth.

A Beautiful Mess

Today, we've become slaves to money, peoples approval and looking good. Nothing wrong with that, matter fact I'm for it but some just don't get life because of their misinterpretation of beauty. The use to be wrong things don't seem wrong anymore, talk is becoming so cheap and beauty is calculated through the many Facebook likes on that profile picture posted just 25 seconds ago (the more the prettier). I'm not here to tell you the things that you should do and what not, I'm just a writer who needs to let her thoughts out otherwise a beautiful explosion is bound to happen and we don't want that (you really should want that). In Wikipedia, Typhoon Haiyan, known as Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines, was an exceptionally powerful tropical cyclone that devastated portions of Southeast Asia, particularly the Philippines, in November 8, 2013. It is the deadliest Philippine typhoon on record, killing at least 6,201 people in that country alone. Haiyan is also the strongest storm recorded at landfall, and unofficially the strongest typhoon ever recorded in terms of wind speed. As of January, 2014, bodies are still being found. It has already been two months since the typhoon, ever wondered what happened to the survivors? Most of you have I know, you just don’t forget a happening like that, no one ever will.

Mt. Kan -Irag also known as Sirao Peak or Pedro Calungsod Peak is situated in the upland area of the city, specifically in Barangay Malubog. It is standing approximately 700 MASL (meters above sea level) and at the peak of this Mountain makes the city a distant reality. Despite the rain showers, Mt. Kan-Irag can be climbed up quite easily even by beginners. Having said so, however, you will of course be confronted by the harsh conditions of nature, so you should try to become acquainted with the features of Mt. Kan-irag well in advance, and make thorough plans before climbing up the mountain.
